Self-doubt

When we talk about relationships, we often refer to relationships with others. But there’s another, equally big side to this subject – it’s the relationship with the self. And it seems that its issues, especially those related to self-worth and self-doubt, are frequent guests in everyone’s inner and outer worlds. Now, if we look at it from an objective, higher perspective, everything that happens to us is a useful catalyst. Thus, every self-perceived shortcoming and limitation invites us on the path of self-discovery and ultimately to find our true self, the spark of the One Infinite Creator that dwells within us.

But from my subjective earthly perspective, I see that the problem of unbalanced self-worthiness in our modern society has become a disease, a virus that is passed from generation to generation. It’s such a common situation that spiritually and mentally immature parents, who have not healed their own traumas and unworthiness complexes, tend to offload this stuff onto their children, passing it on to them through constant criticism and/or never-satisfied hunger for the child’s achievements. The competitive environment outside the family is not much different: school can make it worse, especially if the child doesn’t fit into the standards of the educational curriculum.

As a result, almost all of us are somehow traumatized in the area related to self-worth, which corresponds to the second energy center/chakra in the human energy body. And depending on how this issue projects its influence into a person’s life, there will be energy blockage(s) in one or more lower energy centers. For example, if it’s anger and frustration with self that someone feels very often, it may affect the area of the physical body that corresponds to the second chakra. Or if someone has a high level of social anxiety on a consistent basis due to self-doubt, then their organs/tissues in the area of the third energy center (such as the stomach) may be affected. Unworthiness and self-doubt, projected as fear of not being able to sustain one’s livelihood, procreate, etc., may be reflected in the body functioning in the area of the first chakra. And so on.

Of course, the need to recognize an existing problem of self-worth is of paramount importance, because not only can it be a stumbling block on someone’s path to self-realization, but it can also significantly reduce the quality of life when this problem is manifested in the form of physical illness. There are various ways to embark on this journey of self-discovery and self-healing, and one of them, of course, is to work with one’s dreams, which I have written about before (and keep writing about it).

In one of the recent L/L Research group channeling sessions, Q’uo spoke extensively on the subject of self-doubt; and reading this transcript actually served as a catalyst for writing this post. It’s a great read that I highly recommend – not only does it contain a higher perspective on these common problems of our earthly existence, but it also provides very useful tips for dealing with self-doubtHappy reading!
