About Conflicts (Dream Yoga guidance)

In a dream I observed a meeting between two adversaries. The younger man was the instigator of the conflict, deliberately trying to provoke his opponent – an older man dressed as a Buddhist monk/teacher. Eventually, he was successful in his provocation: his opponent began to snarl and then rant.

Afterwards, we analyzed this situation in a group of students, where I said that what we had witnessed was well within the scope of our dog’s typical behavior (growling, barking). But since we are at least one step above animals, we should develop new behavioral strategies in conflict situations, shouldn’t we? One of the students suggested the method of listening to the other side’s point of view. I said that I also knew some useful options and invited the students to make a list of their own solutions.

After waking up, I contemplated the methods of working through conflict/tension with another person and decided to offer the following short list as food for thought:

  • Accepting the other person as they are, without demanding or expecting them to change.
  • Sincere forgiveness (of the other person and/or yourself).
  • All the other things related to putting yourself in the other person’s shoes, empathizing, agreeing to disagree on an issue but still stay in contact, etc.
  • Complete separation from the opponent, stopping communication, harboring resentment.
  • Manipulating the conflict situation in such a way that the other person begins to perceive him/herself as guilty (in something specific or in general), and further using this guilt for your own advantage.

It is important to note that if the first three options represent a path to opening the heart and thus to harmonious existence in the environment of the new vibrations of the next, 4th density, then the last two options are the path in the opposite direction, or the path of the so-called negative polarization, whose 4D reality can be best described by comparing it to the realm of negative forces in “Star Wars”.

But everyone has their own choice, right? And this choice can be roughly determined as three directions: one seeks paradise, one prefers hell, and one chooses to continue living within the framework of animal behaviors, instincts and programs inherited from the previous 2nd density and embedded in us by default.
