Dreams as multifaceted objects
The quote below is especially useful when trying to decipher a dream that’s lacking a well-designed scenario or looks like a series of randomly selected scenes. In such cases it’s helpful to view the whole dream as a puzzle that consists of several pieces, where each piece has its own meaning or represents one aspect of dreamer’s life or personality.
So, when these aspects/pieces get interpreted and put together, then it becomes easier to grasp the meaning of the whole picture. But how to connect all these facets together, so that they form a meaningful object – it’s up to the dreamer, because everyone may see slightly different result of this dot-connecting work, depending on the personal biases, distortions and circumstances of their life.

«A story told by the conscious mind has a beginning, a development, and an end, but the same is not true of a dream. Its dimensions in time and space are quite different; to understand it you must examine it from every aspect just as you may take an unknown object in your hands and turn it over and over until you are familiar with every detail of its shape».
